Meet Christian
I bring a unique blend of skills to divorce coaching, combining my experience in law, mediation, and business ownership to guide my clients through major life transitions.
My approach is rooted in empathy, expertise, and empowerment. I believe in creating hope where there is uncertainty and stability where there is change.

A Career Rooted in Mediation and Helping Others
I grew up in Kansas City and have always loved being from here. I graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy in 1988, and because I hadn’t received enough all-women’s education, I went on to Stephen’s College, earning my degree in Philosophy Law and Rhetoric with a minor in Women’s Studies in 1992. I then began pursuing a Master’s degree, with the intention of completing a doctorate in Philosophy. My father, the ultimate entrepreneur, asked me, “What are you going to do with that, open a Philosophy Shop?” Relenting, I pivoted and earned my law degree from Creighton Law School in 1996.
But law school brought an unexpected twist: I discovered mediation. My favorite professor, who taught Property, Trusts and Estates, also offered Mediation courses. I took every class he taught and became certified in Mediation before graduating. The process of helping others find resolution through understanding and communication felt like a calling.

"Life continues to bring transitions, some planned and others unexpected. I’m proud to say I’m entering this next chapter on my terms: empowering others to navigate life’s major changes."

From Empowering Voices to Navigating Transitions
My first role out of law school was a dream job in the legal department of a Mental Health Care Provider for Maricopa County, Arizona. I handled grievance and appeal work, but most importantly, I mediated disputes every single day. It was some of the lowest-paying yet most fulfilling work I have ever done. Through mediation, I empowered clients who often felt voiceless to feel respected and heard. It remains one of the highlights of my professional life.
When organizational missteps led to layoffs, I transitioned into Trust Administration at Wells Fargo’s Private Client Services. Shortly thereafter, my husband’s career brought us to Wichita, Kansas. Wichita was a whirlwind of change that also welcomed two beautiful baby girls into our lives.
Returning to Kansas City was a homecoming. My husband and I planted roots here, running a successful advertising agency together. We grew the agency, built relationships, and cemented our place in the community. That growth included buying and renovating the historic Beller Dance Studio in Downtown Overland Park in 2019—an experience that proved equal parts challenge and triumph.

Life has brought me full circle to what I love most—helping others feel heard, respected, and empowered to take control of their lives. Let’s build your next chapter together.
